Courthouse Convalescent Center is located in historic Cape May Court House near the Jersey Shore. Shopping centers and restaurants are conveniently located within walking distance. We are one block west of the Garden State Parkway and only a half a block from Burdette Tomlin Hospital.

Our Mission
To provide holistic, individualized, and quality care to all residents coming to our facility. All persons admitted to the facility will be treated with dignity and decisions regarding their care will be made without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, life style or ability to pay.


Courthouse offers a separate subacute wing. We begin planning for discharge on the day the patient arrives. Treatment is designed to help each patient achieve his/her highest level of function and quality of life.

Subacute Rehab Services
Our Subacute Rehabilitation Services address diverse conditions resulting from debilitating illnesses and injuries that may be a result of:

Neurological conditions, such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson's Disease

Orthopedic injuries and fractures
Joint replacements
Cancer-related conditions
Amputations
Trauma resulting from accident or illness
Muscular/skeletal problems
Functional decline secondary to other illnesses

Physiatrist Services

We provide the following therapies under the supervision of an onsite Physiatrist (a physician specializing in rehabilitation medicine):

Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy
Post-Acute Cardiac Care
Restorative Care

The Physiatrist supervises each patient's therapy program and participates in the care planning and discharge planning process.

Subacute Nursing Services

Tracheostomy care (Respiratory Therapist on Staff)
Wound care (Wound VAC. and pressure relief mattresses)
IV Therapy
G-tubes
Care of triple lumen and Hickman catheters
Portocath

Patient education, which includes colostomy and ileostomy training, and diabetic management
