Foothill Acres Nursing Center has been a pillar of the community for over 49 years. The facility was founded by the late Dr. & Mrs. Husted, of Neshanic, NJ in 1954. It was family owned and operated until October 1, 2002, when private owners purchased it. The name was changed to Foothill Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It is well known for its excellent care, the longevity of its staff and its peaceful, tranquil setting.

Location

Foothill Acres is located on 18 beautifully manicured acres, which offers a peaceful setting for all who reside here. The facility boasts of it's own apple orchard and an abundance of lovely acreage. Complete with a picturesque center courtyard, with gazebo, park benches, goldfish pond and beautiful sculpted gardens. Foothill Acres offers excellent care in an atmosphere of tranquility.

Unique Layout

Foothill Acres has a unique, campus like layout with residents residing in two separate buildings which establishes a strong sense of community. Within these smaller groups, we are able to be highly involved and genuinely responsive to the needs of the community. Together we plan for daily life that includes daily pleasures for our elders, genuine participation and satisfaction of staff, and more enjoyable involvement from family. These satisfying routines weave together with memorable moments and meaningful social occasions, all indicators of a healthy community.

Newly Renovated

Renovations have been completed in Buildings 2 and 3. Come see our transformation. The new owner, and the Administration, is commited to continuing the excellent quality of care and warm friendly feeling that already exists at Foothill Acres. Judging by the longevity of countless employees (20-35 years), the goal will easily be a reality.

Resident Centered Care

The Long-Term Care and Subacute services available at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center are designed and selected to enhance the quality of life for all of our residents.

Long Term Care

Our Long-Term Care section is divided amongst our two spacious buildings, affording an optimum setting for a homelike environment, and individualized care. Residents are encouraged to bring their personal posessions - rocking chairs, favorite dresser, art work, etc. to create a homelike atmosphere. We offer specialized care for residents who suffer from Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

SubAcute Care

Our Subacute program, headed by our staff Physiatrist, provides expert rehabilitative therapy, with on-site Physical, Occupational, Speech and Activity Therapy. Our goal is to assist residents in reclaiming their physical functioning to the highest degree and foster independence for a swift return to the community.
