LONG-TERM CARE SERVICE
Princeton Care Center prides itself with continued excellence in providing quality care. This fact can be verified with the Department of Health by way of recent, on-going inspections.
‘The Art of Living Well’, which is our motto, is not just a statement. It is a practice that we truly believe in. Our long-term care residents receive the highest quality of care and quality of life anywhere around the Princeton area.
We invite you to come in for an individualized tour, review our inspections, meet both our Administrator and/or our Director of Nursing and, more importantly, meet first hand some of our residents for their testimonial.
We are sure that you will agree that this will be the facility of choice when it comes to the difficult decision of placement of your loved one.
Short Term and Sub Acute Care
What is Sub-Acute care?
To many, this term is unknown. If brief, Sub-Acute care is a step down unit from the acute hospital setting. The patient, after completing either surgery or is stable from a complex medical procedure, is ready for discharge from the hospital. However, not well or strong enough to go home, ergo, a Sub-Acute unit, a temporary placement in a rehabilitation setting where concentrated efforts are made to bring the patient back or close to “normalâ€. The patient is then discharged back to the community, whether that be their home, family home, or assisted living.
Sub- Acute Care at Princeton Care Center
At Princeton Care Center's Sub-Acute Care Unit, our patient’s average length of stay is 19 days. Our distinct unit with 20 units is located adjacent to our therapy department for ease of access and also has an outside patio, hospitality lounge for family visits, and a separate dining area for socialization and dining excellence.
When it comes to skilled care and rehabilitation, Princeton Care Center’s sub acute care services focus on achieving the highest possible level of independence. Their rehabilitation care is not only monitored by an attending physician but also by a physiatrist, a medical doctor who specializes in rehabilitation medicine.
Our programs include physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, recreational and restorative therapies, as well as a cardiac recovery program for heart patients. Our state of the art occupational therapy suite and physical therapy gym with 24 hour skilled nursing services, case management and a host of medical support services, assures that every resident receives the highest level of quality care to assist them in their recovery.
