Welcome to the Holland Christian Home, a community for seniors that melds comprehensive, state-of-the-art “LifeCare” with a warm, compassionate Christian lifestyle to create an ideal retirement and service environment. Click on the links to the left to explore all we have to offer.

The Holland Christian Home has proudly served the needs of our senior community for more than a century. We celebrate our longstanding tradition of compassionate Christian care, even as we build on our solid foundation for the future…

The Holland Christian Home is a retirement and support service community of men and women, bound together as a family by a common faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. With hearts to love and hands to help, our staff, volunteers and Board are dedicated to the well-being of our residents through the nurture of devoted care; a warm, homelike atmosphere; loving and friendly companionship; and a strong covenant relationship.

We are certified by the Department of Community Affairs as a Continuing Care Retirement Community and licensed by the Department of Health and Senior Services as a Home for the Aged for Residential and Long Term Care. We are a member of NJANPHA, New Jersey Association of Non Profit Homes for the Aging.

The Holland Christian Home is deeply committed to providing spiritual care for our residents. We offer this care in a myriad of ways. Devotions and prayer are offered at each of our communal meals, one to one visits happen on a regular basis and special visits are made whenever a need arises. In addition, there are services every Sunday and a mid-week service every month where local pastors are invited to share God’s Word. One of the highlights of the month is the Ladies Auxiliary Meeting where not only a pastor is invited to preach but the ladies of the church are invited to participate in the meeting and bring refreshments. The time of fellowship and food is always enjoyed! Lastly, just in case residents would like to look deeper into scripture in a smaller group setting, Bible Studies are offered twice a month in both the Mountain View Nursing Unit and Resident areas of the Home.

A Resident Spiritual Director is on-site seven days a week. However, the spiritual program does not start or end here. From the Board of Directors to residents and staff, God’s love is shared. Whether it is through a housekeeper cleaning a room or a nurse dispensing medications, we want our residents to remember that God loves them and that they are still a child of the King, no matter what their age.

We are blessed with a committed, skilled, compassionate and well-trained group of staff members and volunteers, all of whom truly make the Holland Christian Home the exceptional facility it is. We are proud to recognize our staff’s dedication at our annual Winterfest dinner, where we confer service awards to our many employees who have been a part of our family for five, ten, fifteen and twenty years – and more!

Our many regular volunteers are just as dedicated as our staff! They provide invaluable assistance to our residents every day, from helping with routine chores in the nursing unit, to giving friendly visits to residents who need to see a smiling face. We celebrate our volunteers each spring at our annual Volunteer Luncheon, where we also designate a “Volunteer of the Year.”

Our largest volunteer organization is the Holland Christian Home Ladies’ Auxiliary. More than 125 women are members of this organization, which is dedicated to improving residents’ lives on a daily basis. Our Home is transformed each Christmas into a wonderland of winter beauty at the hands of our Auxiliary members. The Auxiliary provides each new resident with a “Welcome Bag” of goodies, and every resident receives a Christmas gift from the group each year. Members also hold two major fundraisers each year.– and purchase needed equipment and accessories for residents’ use with the proceeds. In addition, the Auxiliary hosts a mid month Worship Service and reception each month at the Home for residents, as well as a monthly “Galleria” where residents can purchase small gifts, treats and necessities without leaving the comfort of Home!
