Located in the quiet rolling hills of Sussex County, The Homestead was officially opened as a not for profit nursing home in 1955. Since that time, we have come a long way in expanding and improving the services and programs we offer. Today, the Sussex County Homestead is a 102 bed short term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility that offers its residents quality care in a "family" atmosphere. "Life" is put into living through the devoted efforts of staff and volunteers.
The professional staff at the Homestead functions as a team, with the ultimate goal of providing the residents with a home-like atmosphere where they can receive the highest quality care and services.
Families/friends are encouraged to participate in the daily happenings at the Homestead.
You will be able to rest comfortably knowing that your loved one is residing in a safe, caring environment and living life to the fullest.
The Homestead is licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services and is Medicaid/Medicare certified.
